About PDF Merge
Combine two or more PDFs into a single document. Add your files, drag them into the order you want, and download one merged PDF. Useful for putting together reports, application packs, scanned pages or invoices into one file that's easy to share.
How to put your PDFs in the right order
The finished PDF follows the order of the file list, from top to bottom. On a computer, grab a file by its ⋮⋮ handle and drag it up or down. On a phone, add the files in the order you want them, or remove one with the × and add it again at the end.
All pages of each file are included, and page sizes and orientations are kept exactly as they were, so a landscape page stays landscape. The original PDFs are not changed.
Common reasons to merge PDFs
- Job and school applications that ask for one file: CV, cover letter, certificates and references.
- Visa, loan and insurance forms with several scanned pages and supporting documents.
- Monthly paperwork such as invoices or bank statements kept together in one file.
- Reports built from separate chapters or exported from different programs.
Tips before and after merging
- Remove pages you do not need from the finished file with PDF page remover, or rearrange single pages with Organize PDF.
- Got photos or scans as JPG? Turn them into a PDF with JPG to PDF first, then merge.
- Locked files must be unlocked before they can be combined. Use Unlock PDF for files you are allowed to open.
- Too big for email or an upload form? Shrink the merged PDF with PDF Compressor.

How do I change the order of the files?
After adding your PDFs, drag them up or down in the list. They are merged from top to bottom.
How many PDFs can I merge?
Up to 20 files at a time, each up to 1 GB for free (bigger on paid plans).
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Remove the password first with our Unlock PDF tool, then merge the unlocked files.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and links look exactly the same as in the original files.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
