About Unlock PDF

Remove the password and restrictions from a PDF you own, so you can open, print, copy and edit it without entering a password every time. If the PDF needs a password to open, type it in Options first. Please only unlock files that you have the right to use.

Frequently asked questions

Can it unlock a PDF if I forgot the password?

If the PDF needs a password just to open it, you must enter that password. This tool can't guess or crack lost passwords.

What about PDFs that open but won't let me print or copy?

These usually have restrictions without an open password. Leave the password field empty and the restrictions will be removed.

Is my password stored?

No. It's used only once to unlock your file and isn't saved.
